Jens Peter Schade

Our company was founded in 1930 in Halle (Saale) by the violin maker, Herbert Franke, and was inherited in 1958 by Joachim Schade. After years of apprenticeship with his father and the successful completion of his master's examination, Jens Peter Schade took over the workshop in 1984.

Since 2005, the studio is placed in the heart of the beautiful musical city of Leipzig in the immediate vicinity of the Thomas Church.

From consultancy, trade in old stringed instruments, the restoration and repair at a high level, excellent custom instrument construction, to qualified expertise, each of us have a thorough background knowledge of the trade, which allow us to accomodate and optimize your request with professional expertise.

All learned skills and knowledge of violinmaking,  trade and many years of experience make it possible to optimize the instruments sound.

Feel free to inquire about the wide range of violins, violas, cellos and bows in all price ranges with excellent quality. Furthermore, we have a wide range of instrument accessories for you. Visit us in our studio and just see for yourself. We look forward to meeting you!
